SafetyEd: Overview of Services

Our goal is to help our clients create the best risk management operating systems possible for their guest and/or employees. SafetyEd can help professionals understand their duties and industry's expectations; we can help create solid standard operating procedures that work for your organization; and we can let you know if an organization's practices are in alignment with other industry professionals.

Specialized Safety Reviews and Consultations

SafetyEd has conducted specialized safety reviews and consultation to organizations such as the Alaska Department of Fish & Game, including a Risk Assessment of the McNeil River Bear Sanctuary and a Risk Assessment of and Emergency Action Plan for the Round Island Walrus Sanctuary. SafetyEd has also provided audit or consulting work for Arctic research programs such as the NFS-funded the Barrow Arctic Science Consortium (formerly known as BASC).

Program Reviews

SafetyEd has reviewed programs from around the world for more than three decades. Reviews can be limited in nature, covering only staff trainings, for example, or they can be extensive. We can help organizations see how they compare to other, similar programs so that you know if your risk management system is in alignment with industry expectations, and we will provide creative, viable suggestions for improvement.

Post-Incident Investigations, Consultations, and Expert Witness Testimony

SafetyEd has provided post-incident investigations, consultation, and expert witness work for organizations such as the Boulder Outdoor Survival School (BOSS), Evergreen Montessori School, Greenfield Community College, University of Alaska Fairbanks, and Alaska Alpine Adventures.
